While we design all of our jewellery to be worn and treasured for a lifetime, wear and tear is normal, and even the most durable pieces need to be cared for to ensure their longevity.
We recommend re-stringing pearls and other threaded jewellery every 1-3 years, depending on how often it is worn and looked after.
If you have any precious jewellery or bespoke pieces, it's important to give them professional maintenance from time to time. Our team can help by providing cleaning, polishing, and thorough checks for any damage, including loose settings or gemstones that may have been knocked.

If your Dower & Hall jewellery requires repair, please post it to us at the address below, along with a note of your details and the original order information if you have it. Once it arrives in our workshop, our team will assess the work required and will email you a quote for the repair.

We recommend posting returns with a recorded service and keeping a hold of the tracking information, just in case.
Repairs generally have a lead time of 2-4 weeks, but we will always endeavour to return your jewellery as soon as possible.
REPAIR CHARGES
TLC SERVICE PACKAGES
Each item of jewellery is assessed on a case-by-case basis and prices can vary depending on the nature of the repair.
- Silver TLC = £25
Cover simple repairs, basic restringing, resizing, smalller items for re-plating etc. - Full TLC = £50
Covers more complicated repairs, complex restringing, larger items for re-plating, replacement of some components, replacement of some gemstones etc. - Precious TLC = £50
Includes minor repairs and refinishing, as well as an updated valuation for insurance purposes.

REPLACEMENT EARRINGS
Lost your favourite D&H earring? We can often supply a single replacement for half the price of a full pair.
Send us a photo of your remaining earring so we can check availability and cost. If we can make a single replacement, we will then ask you to send your lonely earring to us to ensure a perfect match and a complimentary clean.
